Burns Municipal Airport

Burns Municipal Airport is a city owned, public use airport located five nautical miles (6 mi, 9 km) east of the central business district of Burns, a city in Harney County, Oregon, United States.〔 It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a ''general aviation'' facility.〔


== Facilities and aircraft ==
Burns Municipal Airport covers an area of 825 acres (334 ha) at an elevation of 4,159 feet (1,268 m) above mean sea level. It has two runways: 12/30 is 5,100 by 75 feet (1,554 x 23 m) with an asphalt surface; 3/21 is 4,600 by 60 feet (1,402 x 18 m) with a concrete surface.〔
For the 12-month period ending August 30, 2010, the airport had 8,000 aircraft operations, an average of 21 per day: 84% general aviation, 15% air taxi, and 1% military. At that time there were 17 aircraft based at this airport: 82% single-engine and 18% ultralight.〔
